Ramp meeting

  • The Ramp meeting is a mandatory interaction between the vessel's command and the WW representative.
    • The stevedore representative / supervisor should join the ramp meeting as far as practically possible.
  • The ramp meeting should preferably be conducted prior to start of the cargo operation, if not then this ought to be communicated and agreed as per alignment communication.
  • The purpose and standard agenda of the ramp meeting is to :
    • Cargo: Agree on the latest cargo information and ensue that
    • Vessel: Ensure the vessel is ready for the intended cargo operation (Link to this page: Vessel confirmation (Vessel to the local port) )
    • Safety: That all safety and security precautions are in place.
  • If the vessel has received a pre-alignment message from the port of operation (Link to this page in the CHI to be inserted HERE), the ramp meeting should, at a minimum, confirm that no changes have taken place from what was agreed upon per alignment communication. For WW representative and vessel command check of topics to the ramp meeting go to: Representative in local port and Vessel)
  • Confirmation on conducted ramp meeting is to be done for WW represent in the Post Operation Report. Vessel is to report conducted ramp meeting in "available system" (Ash to look into)
