Unused lashing & Chainboxes

Unused lashing materials and chain boxes should be stored and properly secured to avoid any cargo damage during sea transit and/or discharging operation.

1. Full chain boxes / lashing bins can only be stored max two (2) high. Securing by car lashings to each top bin corner is required.

2. Empty chain boxes / lashing bins can only be stored max three (3) high. Secure by top over weblash / spannset lashing or direct lashing to top bin corners.

3. All chain boxes / lashing bins must be placed on rubber mats to increase friction.

Note: A full box of chains may weigh as much as 800 kg.
